Kraków - Technology Park

The special economic zone - Kraków Technology Park was established in 1998. Krakow special economic zone's area totals at 523 ha. It is located in the Małopolskie  and Podkarpackie voivodships and is composed of 20 sub-zones which are located in 18 communes. Krakow special economic zone is the only special economic zone in Poland which is also a technology park.

Krakow Technology Park is the only technology park which has the special economic zone status. Special economic zone is established until 31st of December 2020.

Kraków is located at the crossroads of several trans-European communication routes, both road and rail, heading East-West and North-South (Germany, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Russia, Ukraine).

There is an international airport in Kraków-Balice, one of the two international airports in Poland (passenger and cargo), with daily direct flights to most European capitals (London, Paris, Rome, Copenhagen, Berlin, Frankfurt, Vienna, Zurich, Geneva) as well as direct connections to New York, Chicago, Toronto and Tel Aviv.

As of today, 92 permits for running business in Kraków Special Economic Zone (KSSE) have been issued. This translates into the establishment of 9155 new jobs  and the expenditure of PLN 1.674 billion.
