Katowice

Katowice Special Economic Zone (KSEZ) is the right choice for those companies, which are willing to use the public aid in the form of the tax relief, calculated on the basis of the investment cost or new job creation. The tax  relief granted within the Katowice SEZ is compliant with the regulation being in force in the similar institutions operating in the European Union Countries. The Katowice Special Economic Zone Co. is located in 3 provinces. Over 90% of investment areas is located in Silesia Province, over 10% in Opole Province. The remaining part (below 1%) is located in Małopolskie Province. The advantage of Katowice SEZ is its location in the region with intersection of A4 and A1 (under construction) motorways. What is more, second biggest didactic centre (44 universities, 200 000 students) and highly developed railway infrastructure are situated in Silesia Province. KSEZ occupies area of 1928ha. Investment areas are located in four Subzones: Gliwice, Sosnowiec-D±browa Górnicza, Tycka and Jastrzębie-Żorska. The current Zone development amount to approximately 50% and still have available area for new investments.

Over 190 companies have invested in KSEZ by the end of 2011. These enterprises carried out over 200 industrial projects, invested almost EUR 4.5 bn and employed over 47 000 people.
