Opolskie voivodeship is situated in south-western Poland in the basin of the Upper River Odra and the Silesian lowland. It directly borders the Czech Republic. Industry and agriculture have been the region’s economic mainstays. One of the region’s great advantages are its convenient transport links to Western Europe thanks to the East-West A4 motorway and a decent road network. The Opole region is in the forefront of Poland’s foreign-capital-friendly voivodeships.
