
MISSION AND GOALS
Park Naukowo - Technologiczny Polska - Wschód w Suwałkach Limited Liability Company has been operating since 4 June 2004.
The idea to establish the Park came as a result of searching for ways of overcoming existing barriers and impediments to the development of podlaskie province. One of the Park’s strategic goals is to create an attractive place in Suwałki where science and business can meet to enable transfer of technologies and offer innovative forms of business and investing activity. The shareholders of the Company are: the Town of Suwałki, University of Bialystok, University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Warsaw University of Technology, Higher Vocational School in Suwałki and the National Institute of Telecommunications in Warsaw.

Park Naukowo-Technologiczny Polska-Wschód w Suwałkach Limited Liability Company is implementing Project no. POPW.01.03.00-20-028/09 named ‘Construction and launch of new premises at Poland-East Science and Technology Park in Suwałki’, which is co-funded by the European Union as part of the Operational Programme Development of Eastern Poland for 2007-2013, Priority I Innovative Economy, Measure I.3. Support for Innovations.
As part of the Project a complex of the Park’s buildings will be built until 2012. The complex will consist of a Technological Incubator, a Laboratory Complex, a hall for Logistical and Production Processes and a Centre of Innovations.
The Poland-East Science and Technology Park in Suwałki will be distinguished by its modern infrastructure, proximity to ‘Eastern’ markets (Lithuania, Russia, Estonia and Latvia), low costs of using the ‘production’ assets, professional additional services and extensive contacts between researchers and entrepreneurs.

LOCATION
Baltic SeaWarsaw Location: Podlaskie province is located in the north-eastern part of Poland, neighbouring on warmińsko - mazurskie, mazowieckie and lubelskie provinces. To the east, the province borders on Belarus (the border section is approximately 250 km long) and to the north on Lithuania (over 100 km long border line). Transport and communication: The main transport routes run from Berlin through Warsaw and Grodno to Saint Petersburg and from Warsaw to Helsinki (the planned transit expressway Via Baltica will connect the Baltic states with Western Europe).

The legal status of the land is fully regulated. Plots will be made available to investors through lease or sale.

The area is rectangular, flat and free of trees and cubature constructions.

The size, geological condition and shape of the area offer favourable conditions to investors. The plots, each of which is between 4,000 m ² and 4,500 m ² large, are treated as modules which can be added together, depending on the needs of the prospective firms.

The way of using the plot will depend on the nature of the business and provisions of the Local Spatial Development Plan as approved under the Resolution passed by Suwałki Town Hall as of 25 January 2006.
