PAIH BUSINESS FORUM 2022
PAIH’s Business Forum 2022 is over. Almost four thousand entrepreneurs gathered at PGE Narodowy in Warsaw, they participated in talks with specialists and thematic panels devoted to foreign expansion, as well as attracting foreign direct investments to Poland. PAIH’s experts and partners of the event were at the disposal of entrepreneurs throughout the whole day.

The Polish railway sector's trade mission to Indonesia
Between October 17-21, 2022, the Polish railway sector's trade mission to Indonesia took place. It was co-organised by PAIH's Jakarta-based Foreign Trade Office, The Polish Chamber of Railway Equipment Producers and Railway Service Providers, the "Agencja Rozwoju Pomorza" with the support of the Polish Embassy in Indonesia. The mission included representatives of nine Polish railway companies and some experts from the Poznań Institute of Technology.
Poland at Oslo's Innovation Week
The capital of Norway during a four day event hosted companies from all over the world. There were also representatives of Polish business who participated in panels devoted to the digital industry. During sessions devoted to company presentation Polish Startups had the opportunity to surprise the jury with their innovative solutions. All thanks to PAIH's Oslo-based Foreign Trade Office.

BeautyWorld Middle East is the region's largest international trade fair for the cosmetics industry, attracting several hundred exhibitors from over 50 countries around the world. The event has been attracting buyers from all over the world for years and is a fantastic opportunity to promote original products and discover new opportunities for expansion. This year, among other things, thanks to the stand we are organizing, there will be over 70 Polish companies. Our entrepreneurs will be able to count on the support of experts from PAIH’s office in Dubai and the Polish Association of the Cosmetic Industry.

XVI International Forum "Polish-Ukrainian Business Days"
The Forum "Polish-Ukrainian Business Days" was held for the sixteenth time. A cyclical event, which usually takes place alternately in the capitals of both countries, once again took place in Warsaw due to, the ongoing war. As part of the forum, a number of thematic panels were held.
Poland opens arms to Israeli hi-tech with Poland.Business Harbour program
The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) in collaboration with the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce held a conference in Tel Aviv on October 25. In attendance were expert panelists including specialists in legislation, government aid, investment, R&D, outsourcing and corporate relocation.
A meeting of the Presidents of Poland and North Macedonia with PAIH and the business community
As part of the visit of the President of North Macedonia to Poland, a meeting was held with the participation of the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, representatives of PAIH and representatives of the business communities of both countries.
A global chemical company opens a GBS business services center in Poland
Chemical manufacturer and distributor Huntsman Corporation opens a Global Business Services center in Poland. The new Business Services Center (GBS), located in Krakow, will provide extensive support for the company's operations around the world.
Thanks to PAIH Polish cosmetics manufacturers strengthen their position in the Middle East
An export contract, intensive talks with a contractor and the establishment of a Polish company - these are the recent results of PAIH’s Foreign Trade Office in Dubai to promote the cosmetics industry in the UAE. Yope the manufacturer of organic care products has just debuted on the Emirati market.
An economic mission to Azerbaijan
The Polish-Azerbaijani Business Forum and B2B talks are the key points of the program of the Polish mission to the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, which was organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH). During the event, the Agency concluded a cooperation agreement (MoU) with its Azerbaijani counterpart, AZPROMO. The mission took place on October 20-21.
Another Korean investor in the Polish e-mobility sector
ANP Enertech, a Korean manufacturer of components for lithium-ion batteries, will invest nearly PLN 150 million in Skarbimierz (Opole Province). The company's plant will be built in the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone "INVEST-PARK" (WSEZ). The investment project was supported from the beginning by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).

Polish technology companies at Oslo Innovation Week 2022
During the Oslo Innovation Week held last week, Polish companies strongly marked their presence in the new technologies industry. This was possible thanks to the support provided by PAIH's Foreign Trade Office in Oslo, which organized an event "It’s a match! What links Polish and Norwegian digital innovators?" during the OIW 2022.
A Polish stand at the Espacio Food and Service fair in Chile
Between the 27-29 September 2022 in Santiago, the most important food industry fair in Chile and in South America - Espacio Food and Service - took place.

Over the last 5 years, the number of start-ups in Poland doubled. In 2019, Polish start-ups employed over 47,000 people.

Polish start-ups specialise in:

40% of the companies cooperate with international companies, and 21% of them have strategic clients in this segment.

A healthy environment for start-ups was made possible thanks to Government support and academic incubators, which employ over 150,000 people and have an annual turnover of PLN 28 billion. The Łukasiewicz Research Network is the third largest research network in Europe.

The Polish R&D sector is developing dynamically, boasting:
  • 5,800 registered research facilities
  • A 66% increase in research activity since 2014
  • 62,700 people employed externally by research and development centres
  • the doubling of R&D spending between 2012 and 2018
  • There are over 260 Polish companies working on AI solutions
  • Polish universities have published 12,000 studies on AI
Immense potential
  • Leader in the CEE region in terms of growth rate and GPD per capita.
  • Great expertise in programming, thanks to the talented and well-educated employees. Polish experts took third place in the global HackerRank developer ranking.
  • Poland attracted the most Venture Capital investments in the CEE region.
  • Microsoft and Google chose Poland, investing one billion and 2 billion USD respectively in building their databases in Warsaw.
  • Warsaw was ranked 6th in the European Cities of the Future ranking for 2020/21.
