Declaration
agreements between the Ministries of Finance, funds, regional policy and PAIH on joint support for investments in Poland
PAIH successfully entered the New Year by signing a declaration of cooperation with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy. As part of it, the entities will work together to support investments in Poland. Thanks to the exchange of knowledge and information between the ministries, new foreign investors who wish to invest in Poland will be acquired, who will gain access to comprehensive information.

Investments in 2021
... a golden year for PAIH ...
The beginning of the new year is a good time to sum up last year's investments. In 2021, with the support of PAIH, foreign investments in Poland amounted to EUR 3.5 billion and created over 18,000 new jobs! The largest investors in terms of financial outlays were countries the following countries: South Korea with the amount of EUR 1.9 billion, Germany with the amount of EUR 155 million and the US with the amount of EUR 363.91 million. This is definitely a record result, which was achieved thanks to the work of Agency’s experts.

Memorandum
... and the Memorandum on cooperation between PAIH, the Polish Union of the Cosmetics Industry and the ASEAN Cosmetics Association
PAIH together with the Polish Union of the Cosmetics Industry and the ASEAN Cosmetics Association signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. Thanks to which, Polish cosmetic products will be better promoted in Asia, which is the largest cosmetics market in the world. Polish companies products will be a response to the growing demand of consumers of this region for natural and innovative cosmetics.

Export support instruments - Economic and commercial information, certificate
On December 31, 2021, the amendments to the Regulation of the Council of Ministers of December 20, 2021 on granting de minimis aid entered into force for:
a) implementation of industry promotional projects supporting exports (Journal of Laws, item 2474),
b) organization of promotional activities supporting exports (Journal of Laws, item 2479),
c) implementation of publishing projects supporting exports (Journal of Laws item 2478),
d) obtaining a product certificate required for trade in goods on markets outside the European Union (Journal of Laws, item 2471).

Pursuant to § 7 of the above-mentioned two regulations, i.e. on granting de minimis aid for:
  • implementation of industry promotional projects supporting exports (Journal of Laws, item 2474) and
  • obtaining a product certificate required for trade in goods on markets outside the European Union (Journal of Laws, item 2471).
Applicants are required to attach to the application submitted to the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology, "Economic and commercial information on foreign markets" issued by the Agency at the request of the entrepreneur.

Agnieszka Szweda, an expert from PAIH’s Investment Centre, spoke about Poland and the Polish R&D sector as the best place for investing in, during the Network4Growth: Technology transfer and innovations in Poland conference. Only in 2015-2020, 51 R&D projects worth EUR 233 million were implemented in Poland.
