Poland - Kazakhstan.  Potential of cooperation is enormous
- We believe, that this visit is a visible green light for our countries and business in economic relations - said the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda while opening the Polish - Kazakh Economic Forum.

- Potential of cooperation is enormous - marked President Duda. - We should use it to enforce the economic position of our countries - he added.  The President also gave an opinion that Nursultan Nazarbajev visit is a perfect impulse to start the wide cooperation between Poland and Kazakhstan. - Kazakhstan is an undisputed economic leader in Central Asia, Poland is a leader of Middle Europe - said the President. - Considering the scale of mutual turnover and economic contacts, looking right at this position which our countries take in their regions, there are no doubts that the cooperation potential is great -he added, encouraging entrepreneurs to gain business contacts. President Duda mentioned that apart from deepening  the economic relations, he also cares about an education sector liaison, between universities for example.  At this context,  among other things he marked the fact, that Poland, next to Latvia  is currently coordinating the EU - Central Asia educational platform.

President Nazarbajev underlined that Kazakhstan treats Poland as an important political and economic partner in EU. He marked, that his country is interested in Poland experiences in developing SME’s.  He underlined that in Kazakhstan this sector makes only 30 percent of economy thus supporting SME’s is a priority. During the speech President also marked, that even though there are geopolitical changes visible worldwide,  there are no political or economic problems between Poland and Kazakhstan.


- We are opening a new era in Poland-Kazakhstan relations - said the deputy prime minister and the minister of progress, Mateusz Morawiecki, who also started the economic panel.

Republic of Kazakhstan Minister of Investment and Progress, Zengnys Kasymbek underlined, that Kazakhsta is looking for new growth in agriculture, food, energetic, machinery, pharmaceutical, petrochemical, smelter and innovations sectors. - We have 10 special economic zones including the Technology and Innovation Park. They include all the priority sectors of Kazakh economy.

Fifteen cooperation and agreements at institutional, regional and business level was signed between Poland and Kazakhstan. Total of 25 contracts, valued 1 bln USD were agreed.

During the Forum, organized by the Ministry of Development, Kazakh Embassy, Kaznex Invest, PARP and PAIiIZ, Polish and Kazakh entrepreneurs had an occasion to network and B2B.

Visit of Kazakh President was the first visit of the Eurasian Economic Union country since NATO and World Youth Day in Cracow. (PAIiIZ)

38 investments got the green light in Poland
In the middle of August, PAIiIZ has successfully completed two next investments. It means, that year to date, 38 projects, summing up to over €404 m, were given green light in Poland. It’s a job opportunity for more than 7,600 employees.

Currently, Agency works on the procedures related to 177 investment projects with the total amount of €3,8 bn. 46,600 new jobs can be created to Poland  due to that.

As previously, in terms of investments currently supported by PAIiIZ, American companies dominate, with the plan of performing 49 investments with the total value of  €634,6 m. Americans have declared to create over 11,000 new job in Poland, if they succeed with all the planned projects. When it comes to overall value of investments, Germany takes the lead. Companies located westbound from Poland plan to invest an impressive amount of over a billion euro. Germany is also the second, right after America, country planning the biggest recruitment process.

EVENTS

New regulations on business trips and migrations
A conference about new regulations concerning employers in business trips will take place on 14 Sep 2016 at the National Stadium in Warsaw.

During the conference, panelists will narrate about the new duties assessed on employers sending their employees abroad and also, sending workers from abroad to work in Poland. During an event, tax, law, social security, transfer rates and imigration issues will be discussed. Event is organized by PAIiIZ and EY.

City Plus forum coming in September
Inteligent Cities and Modern Technologies forum will take place on 21-22 Sep 2016 in Toruń.

City Plus forum is an exceptional meeting of the government representatives, autonomies, business and media. The leading discussion will concern cities and communities biggest development challenges. Conference will take two days and is built of eleven blocks focusing particular challenges of autonomies such as integrity, society, management, opennes, security and ecology.

Wolves will take over Warsaw again
On the 25-26 Oct, Wolves Summit will gather 2500 participants in Warsaw, so they can network and discuss about innovations, technology and business.

Wolves SummitWolves Summit is an international conference for innovative, tech startups, investors, , programmers, corporations and companies representatives . It is an event where technology and innovations meet the business.

There are over 4000 meetings between startups, investors, companies and programmers planned during the conference.  Apart from the conference itself, there is a less formal part - networking. It is planned during evening events.

3rd SMEs Congress of The Visegrad Group countries
On 21 at 9:00 in Liptowskim Mikulas (Slovakia) 3rd SMEs Congress of The Visegrad Group countries will be arranged.

The Congress  is addressed to SMEs sector form Poland, Slovakia, The Czech Republic and Hungary that are interested in export via road and sea transport to Europe and overseas.

Asia Trade Know-How
The second Asia Trade Know-How will be held on 22nd - 24th  of  September 2016 at the Expo Mazury Trade Fair and Conference Centre in Ostróda, in Poland.

II edycja Asia Trade know - howAsia Trade Know-How is a trade & congress business event arranged to present new development opportunities for Polish enterprises in Asian countries.

Exhibitors will have the opportunity to participate in dedicated matchmaking meetings with owners of companies operating on Asian markets and to present their product offer to a wide group of prospective foreign business partners.

Among the participants of the show there are: producers and manufacturers, importers and exporters and trade agents from Asian markets.

ICT companies mission to Japan
Registration to the mission has just started. It’s made for ICT firms interested in investing on the Japanese market.

Mission to Tokio, organized by JETRO - Japanese External Trade Organization will take place on 23-28 Oct 2016.

During their stay in Japan, participants -  ICT companies from CEE will have an occassion to participate in:  Japan IT Week fair, Japanese investment and it sectors seminars.

They will also go through a number of meetings in popular IT firms and will be introduced to the JETRO external investors services.

On the mission, Polish entrepreneurs will also visit the JETRO business center (IBSC), Yokohama and will participate in the business dinner organized by Polish Embassy in Tokyo.

Unemployment decreases
GUS (Main Statistics Office) published the newest unemployment data for July 2016. It is decreased to 8,6%. According to bankier.pl, it is the lowest rate for more than 25 years.

In July, there were 1.361,5 k unemployed registered. In one year, this number has decreased for over 224 k. Comparing to the last month, the rate is 31 thousand lower.

The lowest unemployment rate was notet in Wielkopolska district with 80 thousand unemployed. Highest rate of 14% was noted in Warminsko-Mazurskie district. (GUS)
