Poland has been an attractive partner for Japanese business for decades. Over 300 companies with Japanese capital already operate in Poland, employing approximately 40,000 people. They represent mainly industries such as machinery, automotive, food, electromobility and the business services sector. This year they will be joined by Toshiba Carrier Corporation (TCC) - a joint venture of the American Carrier Corporation and the Japanese Toshiba Corporation. The investment will be implemented within the Polish Investment Zone.
The Polish Investment Zone is a magnet that will attract further investors to Poland in the next few years. I hope that there will be even more of them from Japan, because Japanese companies have been global brands of the highest quality standards for years - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, during a trade mission to Tokyo.
Toshiba Carrier Corporation produces air-conditioners, refrigeration systems, fans and compressors. The new plant in Gniezno (in the Kostrzyńsko-Słubicka SEZ) will focus on both distribution and production. The project was supported by The Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH).
