Toyota will double its production in Wałbrzych

Toyota Motor Europe will launch their second production line of the TNGA engine and electric hybrid transmissions forming the hybrid drive 1.5 unit in their factory in Wałbrzych. The value of the investment will reach PLN 600 million, and production will start in 2022. - The decision to double the production of modern hybrid drives is proof of the trust placed in Poland and Polish employees by the largest investors in the world - says Grażyna Ciurzyńska, acting President of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.

As Toyota Motor Europe informs, there is great interest in our low-emission hybrid technology in Europe and this has resulted in the decision to locate two more investments in our Polish factory . The new investment is to be completed by 2022.


Highly-automated production guarantees the creation of high quality jobs and a  transfer of technology. Consequently, both the innovativeness of the Polish economy and Poland’s position in the global value chain increases.The Polish Investment and Trade Agency has been cooperating with Toyota for years. The decision to double the production of modern hybrid drives is  proof of the huge trust placed in Poland and Polish employees by the largest investors in the world - says Grażyna Ciurzyńska, acting President of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.


Toyota informs that they will be recruiting, at least, several dozen new employees to their factory in Wałbrzych and that recruitment will start in 2020. Thanks to all hybrid technology projects worth a total of PLN 2 billion, the level of investment in both the Toyota Motor Manufacturing plants in Poland will increase to over PLN 5.5 billion, and employment to over 3,000 people.
