Taiwanese-based company to build factory in southern Poland

A Taiwanese Iron Force car manufacturer will build a plant in Zabrze. The investment is worth over 80 million PLN and is to be completed by the end of 2023. The investor plans to hire 100 employees. Support and location consulting for the investor was provided by the PAIH Direct Investment Department with the participation of the Foreign Trade Office in Taipei.

Investments with Taiwanese capital constitute a small part of the portfolio of Polish Investment and Trade Agency. Therefore, in September 2018, during the opening of the Foreign Trade Office in Taipei, the Agency and its counterpart InvesTaiwan entered into an agreement on cooperation in the field of investment promotion.

- The construction of the Iron Force factory is the second, since 2016, project from Taiwan served by PAIH. We hope that thanks to cooperation with InvesTaiwan, the number of successfully implemented investment projects in Poland  will increase - emphasizes p.o. President of PAIH Krzysztof Senger. He adds that the first of the Taiwanese projects supported by PAIH was the launch of the iTutorGroup training platform in 2017.

Iron Force Industrial was established in 1977, the headquarters is located in New Taipei, Taiwan. The company produces, among others, airbag inflators and seat belt components for the automotive industry. The plant in Zabrze will be built in the Katowice Special Economic Zone (KSEZ).

- We chose Poland and Zabrze in particular, due to access to well-developed infrastructure and well-educated, hard-working employees. We plan to invest over 80 million PLN and create over 100 jobs. As far as our automotive parts production is concerned, we already have operations in Taiwan and China. Thanks to the plant in Poland, we will be able to establish close cooperation with clients from around the world and develop in Europe - says Camden Lee, vice president of the Iron Force Group.

Foreign Trade Office PAIH in Taipei has been operating since autumn 2018.
