Wietnamese province Hau Giang presentation - opportunities in agriculture

The mentioned investment opportunities are mostly in agriculture sector, which may be very attractive for many Polish companies, which have great expertise in the business. Another example opportunity is an investment into alcoholic beverage production. After the upcoming Tet holiday, PAIH will meet with relevant companies to discuss the possibilities of cooperation and assess the potential for investment.

 

 

The PAIH expert from Foreign Office, Krzysztof Haj³asz gave an interview for the local television answering questions about the potential paths of development for the Hau Giang province.

A few words about province Hau Giang:

Hau Giang is a province in the Mekong Delta. Vi Thanh city, the provincial administrative centre of Hau Giang, is 220km from Ho Chi Minh city along the national highway and waterway to the southwest, 40 kilometres from Can Tho.

 

 

The north of Hau Giang Province borders on Can Tho city - the center that attracts the resources of the Mekong delta. The neighboring province in the south is Soc Trang, the western neighboring provinces are Kien Giang and Bac Lieu - as one of the three provinces has the potential for saltwater aquaculture, marine fishing and tourism; the east is bordered by Vinh Long province and Hau river stretching along the entire route with large resources of fresh water supply, shipping and building materials.

 

 

With the population of about 770000 people (women: 51%), the province is a great source of labour force, accounting for 71% of the population. The staff of technical science, technology and other professional public servants and employees managed by the province is over 10000 people. Among them, 5,000 people graduated from vocational schools, 2500 from colleges, and 2600 from universities (graduates and post-graduates). Thank to bordering with Can Tho city - the economic, financial, scientific and technical center of Mekong Delta, the technical and socio-economic infrastructure is very convenient for investors to invest in Hau Giang.
