Hannover Messe 2017 is open!

Arranged by Polish Investment and Trade (PAIH) on 23 April, the unique spectacle of Polish young artists opened the world’s biggest industrial trade show, Hannover Messe 2017. The opening ceremony was attended by German chancellor Angela Merkel,  Polish prime minister Beata Szydło, deputy ministers Mateusz Morawiecki and Jarosław Gowin as well as the members of the Board of PAIH, Tomasz Pisula and Wojciech Fedko. Poland is official Partner Country of Hannover Messe 2017.
„Poland you'll see at Hannover Messe 2017 is a young Poland with new innovative ideas”, said prime minister of Poland, Beata Szydło. She also mentioned that the leading slogan of the Polish presentation in Hannover is "Smart Means Poland". It was also the title of multimedia spectacle presented during the opening ceremony of the Hannover Messe 2017.

Poland as the official Partner Country of trade fairs in Hannover had the privilege to prepare the artistic programme for the Hannover Messe 2017 opening ceremony, which took place on 23 April. The Polish Investment and Trade Agency was responsible for organizing they show.

“Hannover Messe is the most important industrial fair in the world. It is an honor to be a Partner Country of the show, so is the preparation of the opening ceremony of the entire trade fairs. I’m glad that this challenging spectacle amused the audience. We proved that Poland is a  technologically advanced country and good organizer”, commented Tomasz Pisula, president of Polish Investment and Trade Agency.

Both, the Agency and Visualsupport, which was responsible for the production of the show, created an extraordinary spectacle that involved on the most innovative audio-visual techniques. This unique, multimedia performance was a symbolic story turned into an interactive, 3D display about the greatest Polish minds and their brilliant discoveries that shaped a history of science and technology. The spectacle was divided into six parts. Each of them represented characteristics that led Polish scientists to a breakthrough solutions. Those were: Inspiration, Courage, Knowledge, Determination, Vision and Creativity.

The 12-minute show included performances of young, award-wining generation of Polish artists including: soprano Kaja Mianowana, dancer Aleksander Kopański, performer Kamil Dziliński, WATAHA DRUMS, dancers from Art Color Ballet and famous Polish beatboxer Jakub "Zgas" Żmijowski. Mikołaj Stroiński, author of over 6,000 music compositions including the one for “The Witcher 3” video game, composed the soundtrack for the spectacle. Choreography was made by Agnieszka Glińska from Art Color Ballet, while special effects, including 3D mapping was prepared by Sławomir F±fara.

As the Partner Country of Hannover Messe 2017, Poland was the first country to open its national stand for the public. The inauguration of the Polish presentation was held on Monday morning, on 25 April. It started with a symbolic, virtual ribbon cutting was made jointly by prime minister of Poland Beata Szydło and Chancellor Angela Merkel. Prime Minister Szydło presented Chancellor Merkel products displayed at the stand by Polish entrepreneurs. She mentioned that there are two hundred companies from Poland, including 20 start-ups participating in the Hannover Messe2017.

The Prime Minister also recalled that one of the key objectives of her government was to increase the innovation of Polish economy. In Mrs Szydło’s opinion, participation of Polish companies in the world's largest industrial fairs is an important impetus for the development of economic cooperation with the Federal Republic of Germany.

"We hope that intense contacts with German companies will contribute to the strengthening of our economic relations," said Prime Minister Szydło to the head of the German government. “I’m glad that since now one, we will know Poland from a completely different side. Many of us have visited Poland, and know the landscapes and cities, but digital Poland is something we do not know so well”,  said the German Chancellor.
