Sydney International Boat Show 2019

This five-day event is for the entrepreneurs of the yacht and boat industry from around the world to establish international contacts and familiarize themselves with the industry news.

The first edition of this event took place in 1968 and since then has hosted over three million guests - from water sports enthusiasts by recreational sailors, surfers after owners of superyachts who come to educate and inspire by this wonderful hobby.

For the second time at this prestigious event, the Polish national stand will be organized. The Polish Investment and Trade Agency implementing the program "Promotion of the economy based on Polish product brands" will promote the Polish yacht and boat industry during the Sydney International Boat Show in Australia.

A press briefing at a Polish national stand is scheduled for Thursday (1 of August), 2 p.m. Representative of the Polish Chamber of Marine Industry and Water Sports - Michał B±k will present information and interesting facts about the Polish yacht industry. During the press briefing, as well as on the remaining days of the show, any of those interested will be able to learn more there about the potential of the Polish yachting industry and to obtain information about the offer of our domestic manufacturers of boats, parts, equipment and about related services. This is an activity carried out by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency as part of the "Promotion of the economy based on Polish product brands" program.

In Poland, 22,000 yachts are manufactured annually. Our domestic manufacturers specialise in motor boats of 6 to 9 meters in length and in this sector they are ranked 2nd worldwide, after the United States. The unrivalled leaders among buyers of Polish yachts and boats are Norwegians. Only in 2016, they purchased Polish sailing vessels worth EUR 70 million. The second and third place go to the French (with the total export value of EUR 46 million in 2016) and Germans (EUR 44 million), respectively. The total value of exported Polish yachts was almost EUR 350 million in 2016.
