Avon is composed of two companies, Avon Cosmetics (Warsaw) and Avon Operations (Garwolin).
The overall investment outlays amounted to USD 122 million and it has been the largest project carried out only in one country since Avon commenced its activity in Europe in 1959. The investment included the construction of the headquarters in Warsaw as well as production plant in Garwolin over the years 2000-2004.

Avon Operations Poland plans to invest USD 20 million in the year 2005. The financial resources will be allocated in the extension of R&D Regional Laboratory. It is one of five Avon’s Labs in the world. The investment will also include development of technology, equipment and improvement of IT systems.
Products from Garwolin are exported to 50 countries in Europe, Asia and Africa. The share of exports in sales amounts to 80%.
In 2004 revenues of Avon Corporation Poland amounted to PLN 1.79 billion.
Avon is one of the world’s six largest cosmetics groups. It offers products trough direct sales, employing 5 million consultants. The company was established in 1886 in the USA. It is present in 120 countries worldwide. All cosmetic recipes are created in Suffern Laboratories, USA. Avon is a member of World and European Association of Direct Sale and Polish Confederation of Private Employers.
