In the mirror of time...17.01.2005Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIIZ) and Polish Press Agency (PAP) prepared an exhibition of archival photos of famous Poles entitled “In the mirror of time…”. The exhibition will be held on January 20 in the Presss Center of PAP in Warsaw (Bracka St. 6/8).The motto of the event is: “Témpora mútantúr nos ét mutámur in íllis” (Times change as we do with them) – Cui Aulus.
Photos were taken by the employees of the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency, as well as no longer existing Polish Agency Interpress and Polish Information Agency. The list of authors include Maciej Billewicz, Jan Bogacz, Jakub Grelowski, Wojciech Kryński, Jan Morek, Maciej Musiał (1946-2000), Jerzy Ochoński, Tomasz Prażmowski, Ireneusz Sobieszczuk, as well as Grzegorz Rogiński (PAIIZ).

The exhibition includes roughly 200 photos, which present over 150 images from the past – the Poles that either have or had influence on the political, economic and cultural situation of the country.

The most famous celebrities presented in the exhibition include: Aleksander Kwaśniewski, Lech Wałęsa, Marek Belka, Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz, Tadeusz Mazowiecki, Wojciech Jaruzelski, Józef Glemp, Donald Tusk, Jan Rokita, Andrzej Lepper, Roman Giertych, Andrzej Wajda, Andrzej Zanussi, Krystyna Janda, Krzysztof Penderecki, Franciszek Starowieyski, Magdalena Abakanowicz, Krzysztof Krawczyk, Irena Szewińska, Ryszard Szurkowski, Grzegorz Lato, Janina Ochojska.

All visitors will receive a set of photos on CD.
Organizers will also make photos of the celebrities, presented in the exhibition, who will decide to appear during the event. They will receive their respective photos with the proper “historical background”. The event will also be accompanied with a concert of TRIO band consisting of graduates of Music Academy in Katowice.
