The company plans to start operations in Poland at the end of 2021. In the coming years, it is to invest PLN 7 million in the £ód¼ plant. The choice of £ód¼ as the seat of the new branch is not accidental. The city has been a symbol of the Polish clothing sector for centuries, and education in the field of tailoring and knitting is still at a very high level there. Among other things, it was these advantages that convinced the Latvian company to locate their new center in £ód¼.

The plant will have an area of over 9 thousand square meters. During the first year of operation, approximately 50 new jobs will be created there and it is estimated that their total number of employees in the coming years will increase to approximately 170. The center will specialize in "cut & sew" services. It is a rapidly developing technique that allows the production and full personalisation of prints on all clothing products.

Over the last 10 years, Poland has increased its clothing exports by 104%, so in order to keep up with the growing demand for "cut & sew" services, we have chosen Poland as our next location. Given that £ód¼ is historically known for its well-developed textile and clothing industry, our decision was based on the availability of employees and market opportunities, explains Davis Siksnans, CEO and co-founder of Printful.

Investment for development

Printful inc. took advantage of the consulting services offered by PAIH’s Investment Center. PAIH’s experts, among other things, prepared in-depth analyses of the investment potential of the clothing market in Poland, organized site visits for the investor, and supported the company in finding local partners. They also indicated the most optimal solutions, tailored to the needs of the entire project.

We are glad that Printful has chosen Poland as the location of its next operation. The company's investment will undoubtedly favour the development of £ód¼'s specialization as a creative center and, of course, refer to the best traditions of the city as a Polish center of design especially clothing design. The creation of new jobs for tailors and seamstresses is, in turn, new opportunities for specialists from the £ód¼ region, who often take up jobs outside of their profession, aimed at the clothing industry. This is an important project for us, as it will give the opportunity to use and develop the high specialized professional qualifications of Poles - says Marcin Fabianowicz, Director of the Investment Center of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.

I am very glad that we can welcome Printful to £ód¼. Currently, it is the third largest city in Poland, which is developing well and is undergoing transformation. £ód¿ has an industrial and cosmopolitan past which defines the modern character of the city. I am convinced that Printful will take advantage of our unique traditions, the local labour market and our excellent system of higher education focused on the fine arts - commented Hanna Zdanowska, Mayor of the City of £ód¼.

Adam Pustelnik, Deputy Mayor of the City of £ód¼, adds: "I would like to emphasize that the City of £ód¼ gives priority to supporting investment projects aimed at expanding the city's economic profile and creating high-quality jobs."

The new Printful center is being built in cooperation with Colliers, a real estate and investment management company and developer 7R SA, dealing with commercial real estate.
