Szczecin Science and Technology Park


Science and Technology Park of Szczecin Ltd.

Science and Technology Park of Szczecin Ltd. is a city-owned company that was established in 2000. Its main aims are support of regional innovative business and strenghtening of local entrepreneurship through providing business initiatives with infrastructure and probusiness services and assistance, enhancement of access and flow of knowledge as well as encouraging to cooperation with academic societies.

Science and Technology Park of Szczecin has managed Technopark Pomerania since 2010. Currently it is facility of about 2,000 square meters.

The company will have completed the project of extention of its infrastructure until 2013. The project is co-funded within the Regional Operational Programme of West Pomeranian Voivodeship for 2007-2013. The facility of Technopark Pomerania will comprise of three modern, fully equipped  office buildings spreading across an area of approximately 11,000 square meters intended for innovative companies. 

Expansion plans
It is planned to expand the area Technopark Pomerania of adjacent areas from current 1,5 ha to 7,5 ha with involvement of external investor. According to land development plan the areas are supposed to be office building district.


Localization
Technopark Pomerania is located in Szczecin,  the capital city of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in northwestern Poland on German border. Szczcin is economic centre of the region. The closest airports are located in Goleniów (40 km) and in Berlin (180 km) 

The facility of Technopark Pomerania is localized 1 km away from the city centre, near to inner ring road. To enhance public transportation to the new buildings of Technopark Pomerania a new public road is being built by the local government.

The Information Society development

High standard premises of Technopark Pomerania are intended for high tech, ICT companies and R&D organizations. Currently, there is 20 companies in Technopark Pomerania. They are mostly micro and small start-up companies and will be supported within incubation programme. The status of Incubator company is available for 2 years for them. The biggest ones are Marpo Information systems Ltd. and NTConsult Ltd.
