£ód¼ Regional Park of Science and Technology was created to deliver comprehensive servicing for the industry of modern technologies.

Stages of development
£ód¼ Regional Park of Science and Technology was established in 2003. In 2007 it moved to a newly acquired location, where it has been headquartered ever since. Its administration is based in a modern £ód¼ Technology Incubator office building.
Presently Technopark offers 14 hectares of attractive investment area.
Its extensive offer is directed towards already operating companies, regardless of the time they have been on the market, as well as, at scientists whose ambition is to make commercial profit from their scientific research work. As far as £ód¼ Technology Incubator is concerned, the focus is on entrepreneurs. Companies which take their first steps in the world of business, and people interested in building new enterprises based on innovative technologies are all very welcome to £ód¼ Technology Incubator.
SEZ (Special Economic Zone) Status
Signing contract with £ód¼ Special Economic Zone, has been the first step to give £ód¼ Regional Park of Science and Technology privileges of the economic zone.
Location
£ód¼ Regional Park of Science and Technology is located in a lovely green and peaceful part of £ód¼ in 114/116 Dubois Street. It resides on a 14 hectare area. It takes a mere quarter of an hour to get to the city centre, and nothing more than 5 minutes to get to an international Stanis³aw Reymont Airport in Lublinek.
Technopark’s offer

Technopark offers attractive investment areas.
Plans of Technopark
Due to financial support from European Union, Technopark is able to include immense investments in its plans. They are:
Expansion of £ód¼ Technology Incubator: developing Molecular and Nanostructural Biophysics Laboratory, as well as, Electric Product Research Laboratory. Those investments will be possible thanks to 65 million PLN subsidy from Regional Operation Programme of the £ód¼ Region.
Creation of Industrial Biotechnology Laboratory alongside with developing Centre of Clean Technologies Transfer from Hydrogen Laboratory will be carried out at the cost of 90 million PLN subsidized by Innovative Economy Operation Programme.
The subsidies will facilitate establishment of Electric Product Research Laboratory and Molecular and Nanostructural Biophysics Laboratory. Both of them will serve the purpose of reinforcing Polish modern technology business. As market survey shows, Polish entrepreneurs spend considerable sums of money on carrying out laboratory research abroad.
The first of the facilities will be equipped with a special reverberation chamber - the biggest in Central Europe. It is going to be used for the examination of big devices, such as: transformers, turbines, or hybrid cars.
Most importantly, however, a new office building will be erected in 114/116 Dubois Street in £ód¼. It is going to house fully equipped offices for 50 brand new innovative companies and a huge conference room with the capacity for holding 300 people.

Companies operating in the Technopark zone
At present there are 16 companies operating in £ód¼ Technology Incubator. The industries they represent are: computer science, renewable power sources, healthcare, telecommunications, internet, and consulting.
Some of the companies:
LIW-Projekt designs and manufactures cutting-edge physical medicine and rehabilitation equipment for the disabled. The company cooperates with doctors and physical therapist, thus LIW-Projekt is able to develop innovative constructions which enhance and restore functional ability and quality of everyday life of those with movement impairments or disabilities. LIW-Projekt has received numerous prestigious awards, among others: Special Award of the Mayor of £ód¼ for the most innovative product.
MobileMS specializes in implementing modern mobile marketing solutions based on cellular phones and the idea of Bluetooth Marketing, as well as, two-dimensional bar codes - photo codes.
Both companies: LIW-Projekt and MobileMS, were granted three, out of four, awards in a competition entitled £ód¼ Offers - The Inovative and The Creative.
