Kutno Agro-Industrial Park

 



Kutno Agro-Industrial Park is located in industrial zone of Kutno City. It occupies area of over 700 ha. Nearly 40 small and medium companies with domestic and foreign capital function on that terrain or in its immediate vicinity. Part of terrains (99 ha) laying in Kutno AIP borders is included to Łódź Special Economic Zone Subzone Kutno.

Location

Kutno Agro-Industrial Park is located in the immediate vicinity of international  railroad E-20, international road E-30 (Berlin-Moscow) and planned highway A1. Distance to highway A2 is 35 km. The closest airport is in 60 km distance from Kutno (Łódź Lublinek). The Intermodal Container Terminal is going to be constructed next to international railroad E-20 (project works have been finished, planned opening of a terminal – March 2010).

Branches profile

The main branches of industry on Kutno AIP terrains are: machinery production, packaging, plastic processing, food and pharmaceutical industry. In connection with rendering an intermodal terminal operational, planned in 2010, almost 100 ha is designated in new local spatial development plan for investments in branch of logistics.

Investment area offer

In range of investment terrains Kutno AIP offer is very diversed and applies only to greenfield  type areas. It contains lands being properties of Kutno City, as well as private properties; areas in SEZ and out of it. Offered areas are included in Local Spatial Development Plans. Whole Kutno AIP area is formulated in Conditions & Courses of Spatial Development Study as terrain of manufacturing facilities, warehouses, logistic centres and transport services.

Infrastructure located on Park terrain is adapted to the needs of industrial receivers and guarantees delivery of all necessary technical media. Kutno AIP area is serviced by two independent electricity providers, what makes investors able to choose whose services use. At the moment, they offer 50 MW of available capacity (one of them opened a new Main Supply Point 110/15 kV in 2008). Through investment terrains runs gas pipe of high and middle pressure alike. New constructed infrastructure is being customized within its means to the needs of future investors.

Help for investors

On Kutno AIP terrains investor may advantage of the following instruments:

  • real estate tax exemption (maximum 5 years);
  • income tax exemption on SEZ terrains in extent of 70%
    • beared investment expenditures
    • 2-year labor costs of newly employed workers;
  • help of Labor Office in recruitment and professional training of newly employed workers

There is also available including to educational program of one of professional subjects middle schools, teaching employees for investors.

Companies, which have invested in Kutno AIP till now, significantly contributed to decrease of unemployment in the region. Even so, unemployment rate in Kutno County still remains on high level of 16,5 % (22% in 2005), what presents 7474 persons without job. 53,6 % of them are women.
