Bydgoszcz Industrial and Technological Park (BPPT) ranks among the newest and at the same time the one of the largest industrial and technology parks in Poland. This is a post-industrial ground which belonged to the Chemical Works ZACHEM until 2005. The mission of the BPPT consists in stimulating local entrepreneurship, attracting external investors and creating new jobs.
Until January 2011 the Company operated under the name Bydgoszcz Industrial Park (BPP). The Intention Agreement pertaining to the establishment of the BPP was signed on September 22, 2003. After one year, on December 21, 2004, the Bydgoszcz Industrial Park Limited Liability Company with its seat in Bydgoszcz was appointed as the entity managing the Park which covers ca. 280 ha of postindustrial grounds. From that time there has been constant development of cubature and infrastructure investments within BPP grounds.

From 2006 to 2008, BPP succeeded to implement a project within the framework of the Sectoral Operational Program, Company Competitiveness Enhancement, activity 1.3: ”Creating conditions conducive to company development”, priority 1.”Company development and innovativeness enhancement through promotion of business environment”. The project resulted in the construction of two industrial halls with administrative and social rooms covering the total area of 6 644,30 m2.
This enterprise also provided for the extension of the building which nowadays houses the seat of the Company – office area increased by 500 m2. The value of this project totaled at 21 063 866,73 PLN, out of this amount the Park was partially reimbursed from the financial means proffered on behalf of the European Regional Development Fund in the amount of 8 863 524,41 PLN.

In June 2010, the Company launched its another investment - the Project "Development of technical infrastructure Bydgoszcz Industrial Park" (co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Regional Operational Programme of the Kuyavia and Pomerania Voivodeship for the years 2007 to 2013, and the state budget).
The Project encompasses development of a new roads infrastructure with lighting, pavements and cycling paths as well as connection of water supply and sewage systems. Along the lanes of roads there will be a possibility for designing and developing heat and gas networks. At present, there are 15kV power and ICT networks being designed and developed in the BPPT area.
Location
The whole area of the Park is situated within the confines of Bydgoszcz – the capital of the Kuyavia and Pomerania Voivodeship, the eighth largest city in Poland. This is a modern business city, one of the largest economic, culture and sports centers, inviting prospective investors to set up business activity. With a view to promoting sports a number of facilities have been built in the city, thereby creating conducive environment to contest and event organization that attract European and international sports celebrities. Moreover, the city hosts numerous trade fairs - each year a dozen or so fairs are frequented by a few dozen thousand guests. A stay in the center of Bydgoszcz may turn into a true feast for music lovers - in the Opera Nova, Philharmonic Hall, Polski Theatre, BWA Gallery, museums, intimate clubs - events, competitions, concerts and festivals are held throughout the year. Over 44 thousand students further their education in technical, economic, humanistic, artistic and medical fields of studies.
Investment grounds situated ca. 5 km from the city center; 2 km from country road No. 5 connecting Gdańsk with Poznań; 3 km from country road No. 25 connecting Konin with Koszalin; 8.0 km from country road No. 10 towards Toruń. An international airport is 3 km away, and an inland navigation port 10.0 km away. On the premises there is a railway siding connected with the main line Śląsk-Porty. It is expected that in the 2nd half of 2011 companies operating in the BPPT area will be directly connected with country road No. 10, stretching ca. 0.8 km away from the southern border of the BPPT.
From the city center (Rondo Jagiellonów) the Park can be accessed through Bernardyńska and Kujawska Streets and then Al. Wojska Polskiego that leads to the Bydgoszcz Industrial Park. Moreover, there is an additional entrance from Glinki Street for clients and people employed in the entities located in the Park.
It is possible to reach the place using public transportation - in the housing development Kapuściska, at Wojska Polskiego Street, there is a bus terminus - lines No. 63 and 79 and trams - line No. 7 and 8. Following the completion of an infrastructure project in the 2nd half of 2011, a direct bus connection with the Park will be launched.
Park’s offer
Bydgoszcz Industrial and Technological Park offers investment grounds for sale and lease, located in the south-eastern part of the city.
Preparing the grounds for investors, the Company has undertaken a number of activities, including: allotment of plots, geodesic plot designation, hydrogeologic land surveys and construction of new and extension of existing infrastructure. Striving to provide the environment for entrepreneurs to effectively compete on the market, the BPPT is set to establish on the managed grounds an attractive area to run a business and invest. This area will boast efficient infrastructure, low costs of production equity use and professional secondary services provision.
The BPPT may customize Investors while designating plots on condition that the minimum area of the plot is 1 ha. The total area of the Bydgoszcz Industrial and Technological Park approximates 280 ha. It is included in the local spatial development plan ”Łęgnowo - Technological Park”, where this place has been designated as an economic activity area encompassing service and production activity, storing warehousing. Geological survey demonstrated that soil and subsoil water conditions comply with binding standards.

BPPT provides secondary services such as accounting services and as the owner of patents offers them for sale to the Investors. The Company has also been cooperating with schools of higher education, in particular the University of Technology and Life Sciences in Bydgoszcz, developing new highly innovative technologies as well as with companies specializing in construction, urban and technological design, technical tests and analyses. Realization of ventures in Bydgoszcz provides Investors with access to well developed business environment, support of municipal authorities, access to research and development facilities as well as qualified staff.
Benefits for Investors
At the end of 2009 included a complex area of almost 36 ha in the BPPT to the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone. On 4 December 2009 was issued the first license to operating in the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone in Bydgoszcz Industrial Park.
The entrepreneurs permitted to do business in the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone are exempted from income tax due:
Maximum admissible intensity of public aid in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship amounts to 50 % for large enterprises, and for small and medium - sized enterprises the rate is respectively 70 % and 60 %.
Companies operating on the premises of the Park
Within the area of BPP, by the end of December 2010, there were 41 businesses or investments actively operating and the number of jobs provided by those businesses amounted to approx. 500.
Enterprises located within BPPT operate particularly with production, including building materials, steel, plastic, wood products, fire protection, HVAC, advertising, storage and warehousing and security services, design and technical advice.
