The "Designed in Poland" exhibition was created in a cooperation between Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency, and the Commercial and Economic Section of the Polish Embassy in Berlin. It was one of the main elements of the ongoing "Polish-German Year 2005/2006"
The vernissage took place on October 26th, 2005. Polish Ambassador to Germany - Andrzej Byrt Ph.D. and PAIiIZ President - Andrzej Zdebski officially opened the exhibition. A short recital by a world renowned cellist Maria Kulowska was given. A company producing amber jewelry AMBERMODA organized a short fashion show entitled "Chopiniana". Micha³ Starost was the author of the script.
"We are convinced that our initiative will support the development of Polish - German economic relations and will promote Polish products, especially in such key market as Germany," said PAIiIZ president, Andrzej Zdebski.
Over 150 guests attended the opening of the show, amongst them German entrepreneurs interested in importing Polish goods, representatives of German business community thinking of investing in Poland, as well as the exhibitiors - producers and designers.

The exhibition was composed of over 100 products, prepared by 60 companies and individual artists. Amongst the presented objects there were jewelry, clothing, furniture, room decoration articles, fittings, electrical goods, porcelain. The objects presented were characterized not only by high quality, but also by a unique design, combining the old with the new. The exhibition emphasized the specific features of Polish modern industrial design and intended to encourage the German consumers to buy products made in Poland.
The visitors of the exhibition received shows' catalogue with pictures of the objects displayed, along with the crucial data about their features, designers and producers, as well as the website addresses.
