Innovation has different dimensions
“Poland can be competitive. The country achieves the first successes in international expansion and has a high potential - said  PAIiIZ deputy president Sławomir Krużmanowski during one of the panels of Innovative Manufacturing Forum, which takes place on 13-14 April in Warsaw.

“I do not think the cooperation between science and business is the most important”, said prof. Krzysztof Obłój PhD during the forum. - In the last 25 years, from the economic plankton of small and medium-sized enterprises, large companies were created. However, none of them grown on innovation, but by textbook strategies and by some accident” said Mr. Obłój. Magdalena Burnat-Mikosz, partner of Deloitte had a similar view: “Innovation is not always derived from R&D. Often, it is simply a new application of old solutions. Polish companies are pragmatic. They put on a solution that will allow them to achieve a profit without taking any risks associated with the implementation of R&D” she said.

In the opinion of Dariusz Żuk from Polska Przedsiębiorcza, Poland lacks a vision of development. “Poland has to decide what he wants to be. We do not know where we are going” - said Mr. Żuk

Let’s support the Polish export and love investing!
The solid support for export and investments is absolutely fundamental in effective promotion of Poland and in stimulating the expansion of Polish companies - those are conclusions from the conference entitled “The coordination of export policy is real”. The debate attended by Sławomir Majman, PAIiIZ president, was arranged by PWC and took place on the 13 April in Warsaw.

- We should develop the net of institutions representing the Polish companies abroad - he said during the discussion. “There is a need to create a universal model of export promotion. Nowadays, companies need a specific knowledge about market, trainings, support of the foreign partners and in some countries the political protection” - Mr Majman emphasised. According to PAIiIZ president, still too little companies with purely Polish capital are going abroad with their offer. “Last year, 60% of Polish export was carried out by companies with foreign capital” - he reminded.

Majman: "There is a need to create a universal model of export promotion."

As he noticed, supporting investments that are technologically advanced gives a great developmental urge to the local sub-contractors. “Thanks to investments new international links emerge and facilitate expansion abroad - Mr Majman emphasized.
