PAIiIZ and other partners develop procedures for local authorities
In August, PAIiIZ, Ministry of Interior and Administration as well as Warmia and Mazury Regional Development Agency have introduced the programme aimed at raising the level of standards of  investor services in the local government units. "Standards of investor services in local government" is a long-term and strategic project will last until 2018.

The partners of the programme will promote a strategic approach towards management of economic development and the inflow of FDI in local government units. They will also developed basic procedures for cooperation between local authorities and investors as well as tools to increase the investment attractiveness of local investment areas. Great emphasis will be placed on building regional networks combining business, public administration and HR experts to provide  effective service for investors. The project also aims to develop digital tools of servicing investors.

Programme’s pilot will be implemented in 40 local government offices and then implemented in other units. For this task the Ministry of Interior and Administration, PAIiIZ as well as Warmia and Mazury Regional Development Agency gained over PLN 4,6m from the UE Operational Programme Knowledge Education Development 2014-2020. INVESTMENTS IN POLAND

ζpy on the way towards modernization of the subzone
ζpy Municipality receives grant worth over PLN 13m from the EU Operational Programmes for Podlaskie province to equipment ilocal nvestment areas of this subzone of Tarnobrzeg SSE.

The grant covers the cost of equipping 12 hectares of investment areas as well as the  comprehensive modernization of the roads to the ζpy subzone. The whole process will be completed in 2017.

According investment will be completed in November 2017. The management of the ζpy subzone is expecting that the project will bring new investors, tax revenues and new jobs for local inhabitants. (ζpy Municipality)

Materialise factory in Euro-Park Wis這san
Belgium company Metrialise is building a plant that will produce 3D printing objects and prototypes of products in Bielany Wroc豉wskie. The project is provided with the Euro-Wis這san SSE.

Headquartered in Luven, Belgium, Materialise is operating in additive manufacturing industry, also known as 3D printing. The company is cooperating with biomedical, clinical, automotive and other industries. The investor declared to spend at least PLN 33,2m to build the new plant in Bielany Wroc豉wskie. The company is also planning to hire 18 new employees. 
In the first half of 2016, Euro-Park Wis這san has issued 8 new business permits for companies to operate in the zone. Six of them have Polish capital. The total worth of the projects incoming to the zones reached PLN 193mln. This year’s investors declared the will to create 257 new jobs in total. (Europark Wis這san/Materialise)

Qumak’s ICT Share service centre in P這ck
Qumak
Qumak has just opened a Service Desk Centre in P這ck, Mazowsze province. The company is operating on the telecommunication and IT market since 30 years.

The centre in P這ck will provide comprehensive outsourcing services of IT support for business clients of telecommunication operators.  In the center, internal R&D processes will be developed. In the incoming months, Qumak plans to hire 200 professionals with various skills. (Qumark)

Asia Trade Know-How
The second Asia Trade Know-How will be held on 22nd - 24th  of  September 2016 at the Expo Mazury Trade Fair and Conference Centre in Ostr鏚a, in Poland.
II edycja Asia Trade know - how

Asia Trade Know-How is a trade & congress business event arranged to present new development opportunities for Polish enterprises in Asian countries.

Exhibitors will have the opportunity to participate in dedicated matchmaking meetings with owners of companies operating on Asian markets and to present their product offer to a wide group of prospective foreign business partners.

Among the participants of the show there are: producers and manufacturers, importers and exporters and trade agents from Asian markets.

Asia Trade will be also attended by representatives of embassies and chambers of commerce from India, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Afghanistan, Iran and the Philippines.

3rd SMEs Congress of The Visegrad Group countries
On 21 at 9:00 in Liptowskim Mikulas (Slovakia) 3rd SMEs Congress of The Visegrad Group countries will be arranged.

The Congress  is addressed to SMEs sector form Poland, Slovakia, The Czech Republic and Hungary that are interested in export via road and sea transport to Europe and overseas.

GUS: PLN9,862.5bn surplus in foreign trade of Poland
The Central Statistical Office of Poland (GUS) issued the final data on the Polish foreign trade in 2015. Exports (current prices) reached a total value of PLN 750.8 bn (€179.6 bn), while imports amounted to PLN 740.9 bn (€177.2 bn). As a result, Poland recorded a positive balance in foreign trade amounting to PLN 9.8 bn. It also means that exports increased by 8.3% and imports by 5.2% in comparison with 2014.

In 2015, among the main Poland’s trade partners an increase in Polish exports was reported in Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Germany, the Czech Republic, Hungary, France and Sweden, while imports went up in China, the United States, Great Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, France, the Czech Republic and Italy. On the other hand, the decline in both, exports and imports was recorded in trade with Russia. Russia’s share in exports fell by 1.3 percent points, reaching 2.9% y/y. Imports was lower by 3.0 percent points y / y and accounted for 7.3%.

 The share of Polish main trading partner - Germany - increased both in exports and imports. In the first category, it went up by 0.8 percent points y/y reaching 27.1% of the total export of Poland. The imports also increased, by 0.9 percent points y/y to the level of 22.9%. This means that a positive trade balance of PLN 33.9bn was reported (over $9bn /€8,1bn) in comparison to PLN 27,2bn in 2014 ($8.7m and €6.5 bn) in 2014.

The share of exports to developed countries in total accounted for 85.7% (79.4%  of share was generated in trade with the EU countries), while in imports to 66.9% (including 60% products sold to the EU). (GUS)
