12 new projects on PAIiIZ's list
In the last two weeks PAIiIZ received 12 new projects with a total value of over EUR 119 million euro, which can create 4,348 new jobs.

The most popular is BSS-SSC sector, represented by five newly acquired investments. These projects are expected to create even 3,220 jobs.

Currently the Agency supports 177 investment projects with a total value of nearly EUR 3,670 million what can contribute to the creation of almost 40 thousand new jobs.

Among the ongoing projects, most comes from BSS-SSC (41 investments, total value: EUR 34.09 million, planned employment: 11,319 people), automotive (35 investment value: EUR 1,176.79 million, planned employment: 9,910), BSS-IT (18 projects, value: EUR 25.85 million, planned employment: 4,930) and BSS-R&D (13 investments with a total value of EUR 52.6 million, planned employment: 1,795). PAIiIZ serves also 11 aviation investments and 10 from food sector.

In terms of country of origin, the US still dominates, with 45 projects worth EUR 544.8 million and almost 10 thousand jobs planned. Second place in the PAIiIZ portfolio PAIiIZ is occupied by German investments (25 projects worth EUR 904.2 million; planned employment: 4,635 people). PAIiIZ serves also French, Italian, British and Korean investors (10 projects each).

Among the current projects supported by the Agency it is also 7 with Polish capital, with a total value of EUR 303.92 million and the chance to create 1,590 jobs. (PAIiIZ)

Intake of applications to participate in two economic missions to China is about to start
Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency within the frameworks of the GO CHINA programme is about to start an intake of applications to participate in two economic missions to China - to Yiwu between 13-16 May 2016 and to Ningbo between 9-12 June 2016.

China YIWU Imported Commodities Fair is a fair dedicated to imported products: consumer goods of daily use, modern design of the market goods (glass, crystal, etc.), mother & baby products, household items, health products, food, children's clothing, artwork, jewellery, gifts and cosmetics.

The fair takes place in Yiwu, which for years has been China’s market base. The Yiwu fair is second biggest after the Canton Fair (Guangzhou).

China-CEEC Investment and Trade Expo 2016 is a fair dedicated to goods exported from the CEEC countries. The event is a perfect occasion to enter the Chinese market by meeting sales representatives, brokers, importers and representatives of the Chinese distribution channels. Apart for this, the event also enables the participants to take part in the B2B meetings.

The event takes place in Ningbo (Zhejiang province) - one of the main sea ports in China, and is primarily dedicated to food products, jewellery, cosmetics, modern design of the market goods (glass, crystal, etc.), consumer goods of daily use, gifts, healthcare products, household items.

This year’s edition will also be an occasion to introduce a new section - High & New Technology Fair - dedicated to technologically advanced products.

3. Automotive CEE Day
The third edition of the Automotive CEE Day under the patronage of the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ) is going to take place on April 14-15th in Opole.

This meeting should facilitate establishing cooperation between purchase departments of the automotive producers and the potential subcontractors. During 2015 edition of the CEE Day participants took part in more than 500 meetings. This year participation was confirmed by such companies as Volkswagen Poznań, PSA Slovakia, Polaris, Plastic Omnium (Slovakia), Gestamp (Spain), Gedia and Sanden.

Logistics - investment in the future

We invite you to participate in a seminar dedicated to Poland-Japan business cooperation
A meeting dedicated to business cooperation possibilities between Poland and Japan will be organized on March 22nd in the Bristol Hotel in Warsaw.

The meeting’s organizers - EU-Japan Centre and Polish Confederation Lewiatan will assess the current Poland-Japan economic relations and will also discuss how the signing of the FTA / EPA UE-Japan agreement will influence the cooperation between the two countries.

The seminar will also be an occasion to listen to the presentations of the Polish companies with experience on the Japanese market. The participants will have an opportunity to get acquainted with organizations responsible for facilitating contacts between Polish and Japanese business.

Radom helps entrepreneurs
Radom has prepared special packages for entrepreneurs. Pionier, Progres, Mikro and Idea is a combination of different forms of support addressed to the entrepreneurs intending: to start a business in Radom, to expand an existing business in Radom and to implement innovative solutions and conduct R&D activities in Radom.

The city offered help to the entrepreneurs, possible to achieve at the municipal level. Creation of Radom Economic Zone and the implementation of packages tailored to the needs of existing and new companies is a part of the project of economic development of Radom and aims to encourage entrepreneurs to create new jobs. New investments in the Euro - Park Mielec
Mielec Special Economic Zone has new investments projects: MTU Aero Engines Poland, Husqvarna and local company "R&S" RĄCZKA.

MTU operates in the SEZ EURO-PARK Mielec since 2008. This is a fourth business permission to this investor in the zone. In the Trzebownisko Subzone, in the Science and Technology Park AEROPOLIS entrepreneur plans to install additional technological line and start producing large-size HSC unit to a new type of turbofan engine. This product is dedicated to a new generation of twin-engine, widebody aircraft. The investment is estimated at least at PLN 56 million and is to create at least 15 new jobs.

Husqvarna is present in the Mielec SEZ since 2011. The second investment of the company consists of the construction of the hall and start production of self-propelled mowing equipment. The value of the project is PLN 38 million; the investor plans to employ 25 people.

The third investor which has lately received the business permission in Mielec SEZ is a local company "R&S" RĄCZKA which plans to build the hall producing the components for telecommunication. Implementation of this project worth PLN 5 million will contribute to employment of at least 10 new employees.

In 2016, Mielec acquired 6 investments projects worth jointly PLN 135 million and 107 new jobs. (Euro-Park Mielec)

Legnica SEZ expands its offer
Legnica Special Economic Zone has expanded its offer by Legnica Technology Park Letia. Thanks to the acquisition of a majority shareholding of Letia, LSEZ doubled its market value and gained important business partner - KGHM Polish Copper, which has become a minority shareholder of the Zone.

More than 10 thousand square meters of business space in two central locations in Legnica (at Rycerska and Złotoryjska street), virtual office, workshops, laboratories, a training centre and nearly 30 hectares of well-connected investment areas in the vicinity of Huta Miedzi (copper smelter), the A4 motorway and S3 under construction - all those attributes the Legnica Special Economic Zone has gained through the acquisition of stake of 84.9% of Letia from the KGHM Polish Copper.

As Rafal Jurkowlaniec, the president of the Legnica SEZ noted, the board of the Zone plans to create the area open to innovative ideas supporting the companies in its implementation which will be a friendly place for investors and the alternative for the business centers developed, eg. in Wroclaw.
