Poland as a leader of GDP growth in 2050
Poland exhibits great potential, and is projected to be the fastest growing large economies in their respective regions - forecast PwC in its recent report The long view: how will the global economic order change by 2050?

PwC projects the fastest growing large EU economy to be Poland. Polish GDP should grow at an average real rate of around 2% per annum over the period to 2050. PwC experts believe that the Polish position could be even stronger if not being affected by demographic pressures.

Total population in Poland will decrease on average by 0.4% per annum over the period to 2050 and the working age population will shrink by slightly more than 1% per annum, PwC experts argue. This has contributed to weaker growth potential for the country.

The mixture of more generous social policy and innovation-based economic growth powered by such instruments as the Plan for Economic Development should lead to more sustainable (socially viable) economic growth in the long term in Poland, writes PwC economists.
