PAIiIZ Economic Mission to Germany
Warszawa-Berlin-Wittenberg-Hanover, 11-14 October 2005

Short description:
PAIiIZ promoting Poland on the international arena underlines, that the new technologies and their introduction to the economy by the small and medium sized companies is currently a key to economic success. This is the reason why PAIiIZ's Department of Economic Promotion  organized in the 11-14 October an Economic Mission of Polish innovative companies to Germany, combined with the match-making session of Polish and German companies. The mission is a part of PAIiIZ's activities within the Polish - German Year 2005/2006.

Economic mission's goals:

• Presentation of new technologies as a key sector
• Presentation of Poland as a modern country with dynamic research and development centres
• Providing an opportunity to Polish producers of modern devices and creators of innovative solutions to make contacts and start business contacts with German partners

PAIiIZ was represented by:
1. Monika Wysocka - Acting Head of the National Promotion Unit at the Department of Economic Promotion 
2. Agnieszka Schutte - Specialist National Promotion Unit at the Department of Economic Promotion 

The mission was organized in cooperation with the following partners:

After careful analizis of the applications from the companies interested in the mission a decision to broadened the scope of the mission was made. Besides the advanced technologies, the production sector was also included. Eight Polish companies representing various sectors of economy took part in the mission.

Mission's programme
The mission was divided into two stages:
I. 12.10.2005 - II European Economic Forum in Wittenberg. At the Sparkasse seat Wittenberg, from 9 am to 8 pm, during which various companies presented their offer, also those from new EU Member Countries
II. 14.10.2005 -  Polish - German Innovative Companies Cooperation Market at the Craft's Chamber in Hanover, Berliner Allee 17, from 10 am  to 2 pm.

Noon - 1 p.m. Short working meeting at the Economic and Commerce Departement in Berlin
1 p.m. - 4 p.m. Transport from Berlin to Wittenberg,  to the Sparkasse seat in  Wittenberg,

4 p.m.- 5:45 p.m Preparation of the mini information and promotion stands 
5:45 p.m. - 6 p.m. - Transport to the Schloß Kropstädt hotel.

12.10.2005 (Wednesday)
8 a.m.     Journey of all participants from Wittenberg to Hotel Best Western  "Stadtpalais Wittenberg", Collegienstrasse 56-57, 06886 Wittenberg,
9 a.m.-10.30 a.m. Festive breakfast of the participants and the II European Economic Forum at the invitation of  dr Wolfganga Böhmer, Prime Minister of Saksoniia-Anhalt region.
10.30 a.m. -11.00 a.m.Journey to the Sparkasse seat at Wittenberg..
11.00 a.m.- NoonPreparation of the stands.
Noon-1 p.m  Organizers official welcome to the European Forum guests.
1 p.m - 1:30 p.m. Polish participants sight-see the Wittenberg region companies stands.
1.30 p.m -2 p.m  Wittenberg companies' representatives visit the Polish stands.
2 p.m - 3 p.m Individual meetings at the stands, according to the schedule available at the stands.
3 p.m. - 3.30 p.m. Coffee break
3.30 p.m. - 5 p.m. Continuation of Individual meetings at the stands, according to the schedule available at the stands.
5 p.m. - 5.30 p.m.  Summary and conclusion of the meetings.
5:30 p.m. Journey to the Kropstädt Hotel. Opening of the European Beureau  for Economic Contacts reception.
                 
13.10.2005 (Thursday) 
9 a.m.    Polish participants depart for Hanover.
4 p.m.    Organizational meeting with the representatives of Consulate General in Hamburg and the Craft's Chamber ("Handwerkskammer") in Hannover.
              
14. 10. 2005 (Friday)
10 a.m.  - 2 p.m.  Cooperative expo in Hanover, organized in a cooperation with Polish Consulate General in Hamburg. Seat of the Crafts Chamber, Berliner Allee 17, Hannover.

Polish companies taking part in the mission had the opportunity to present their offers on information and promotion stands, as well as conducting business talks with companies of similar business profiles from the Sachsen - Anhalt and Niedersachsen regions. From the German side companies from the Crafts Chambers and Commercial and Industry Chamber took part in the event.
