DO YOU KNOW THAT...?

100 Changes for Business
The Council of Ministers adopted the first set of regulations that will simplify the legal aspects of business activity in Poland. The new governmental proposals are a part of the project called “100 Zmian Dla Firm” (100 Changes for Business) introduced by the Ministry of Development.

First of all changes improve the fiscal control. From now on, inspections will be conducted only in the areas where the risk of infringement is the highest. This new regulation should limit the number and scope of the financial audit especially in companies with no infringement reported previously. In addition, the tax office will not be able to re-check cases that had already been audited.

Law regulations regarding accounting in small companies have also been simplified. Companies will have to keep full accounting only when reaching net income of €2m per year, not €1.2 m, as it was before. Also labour law has been improved. Such documents as working conditions or remuneration rules as well as creation of the Social Fund will be needed only when hiring 50 employees. The new regulation also extends and unifies deadlines for appeals to the labour court.

The changes also includes the construction law. Some types of construction works as single-floor outbuildings to 35m2 as well as exits and parking bays neighbouring the exit to local roads will not require a building permit. Moreover, minor deviations from the building project (up to 2%) will be accepted without any formalities.

Most of the facilities will come into force at the beginning of 2017. (Chancellery of the Prime Minister / Ministry of Development)
