Sixteen investment sites awarded with The Golden Site Award
179 investment plots presented by 142 Polish municipalities in Poland have just completed the fight in the Golden Site Contest for the title of the most attractive site for production projects in each of the Polish province. On 20 October, in Warsaw, president of the Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ), Tomasz Pisula, together with marshals of all voivodships and management of the Investor Service Centres, presented awards to the sixteen winners of the competition. Arranged every two years by PAIiIZ, Marshals of all Polish Voivodships and Regional Investor Service Centres (COI), the Golden Site contest is held in each of sixteen Polish provinces. It aims to select and awards the best greenfield sites in each region that has at least 2 hectares and is under the Local Development Plan is dedicated to industrial project.

The competition is open to all Polish municipalities that can submit any number of offers. There is, however, one exception. The plot should not be covered by the programme of Special Economic Zones or Technology Park.

Municipality that took part in the contest knows that a well-tailored investment offer and winning the Golden Site Contest is a gateway to lucrative investment contract. PAIiIZ statistics shows that more than half of the previous winners of the contest already won investors.

16 winners of the Golden Site Contest 2016

Especially for the municipalities located in those areas of Poland that not often catch the eyes of investors, the contest gives them the opportunity to be discovered. This chance should not be overlooked.

National Bank of Poland: great results of FDI inflow
The inflow of Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in 2015 was the highest during the last 8 years. This result is mainly due to reinvestments - next projects of foreign companies already operating in Poland.

DO YOU KNOW THAT...?

Polish satellite in space
At the beginning of 2018, the first Polish private commercial satellite "Światowid" will be launched into orbit. SatRevolution from Wrocław that designed the object, has just signed an agreement with the US company Interorbital Systems.

Światowid will be accompanied in orbit at an altitude of 310 kilometres by two others Polish nanosatellites PhoneSat. The objects will be launched from a floating platform in the Pacific Ocean.

“So far, 3 Polish commercial satellites were placed in space: PW-Sat, which was created by students. There are also two scientific satellites - Lem and Heweliusz. "PhoneSat works under the control of Android and on electronic components used in mobile phones. We want to see how this type of satellite behave in space”, says Grzegorz Zwoliński, co-founder of SatRevolution.

The housing has a parallelepiped shape with dimensions of 10x10x20 cm. The entire structure of the satelitę was made using 3D printing technology. The satellite there will be equiped with retractable handle for a camera. In addition, the satellite will use an advanced system of opening photovoltaic panels, a set of sensors allowing to determine the position of the satellite with the Earth and special sensors that allow exploration of space.

SatRevolution is the first Polish company engaged in mass production of nanosatellites both for private and commercial use. Its founders are resposible for the success of T-Bull SA, a leading Polish manufacturer of mobile games. The R&D team, that designed and produced the satellite, has already created a number of innovative solutions, such as bionic arm controlled by signals from the brain.

SatRevolution cooperates with the Wrocław Research Centre EIT+, that is the biggest R&D centre in Poland. (SatRevolution)
