INVESTMENTS IN POLAND

China Everbright International will invest in Novago company located in Mława
The biggest Chinese investment in Poland - finalized. Deputy minister of development Radosław Domagalski participated in the ceromny of signing the  Novago majority sales contract with Chinese investor. Novago is one of the biggest trash system companies in Poland. This transaction is worth 123 mln pln.

- This investment signs in the Polish-Chinese cooperation politics, which actually grows after the visit of president Xi Jinping in June. This business decision confirm that Poland and China have a lot of potential to expand cooperation in technological advanced areas such as environmental protection - underlined deputy minister Domagalski.

Deputy minister assured, that Poland is remarkably open to foreign capital, including the Middle State investors. He added, that investors can count on professional service on every investment process stage.

Using the contract signing situation, deputy minister Domagalski also met with China Everbright board and discussed the Polish - Chinese cooperation development. (MR)

New investments in East Poland
1,2 bln pln has been contracted for road construction investment in East Poland. First funding contracts were signed in June (7 contracts), another two in July. Remaining five contracts - worth over 826 mln pln, in which nearly 689 mln pln is a EU fund - were signed on Aug 30 in the Ministry of Development.

- We’re at the stage of realizing the sustainability plan. Today’s contracts are a perfect example. We can’t talk about the modern Poland without the highly developed road network.  Bigger transport availability is one of the essential conditions of Polish roads development - said vice deputy and the minister of development, Mateusz Morawiecki.

POPW resources will allow to build or rebuild existing roads in east Poland to communicate the regional towns and surrounding communities together, and with the whole country. Bigger transport accessibility will indicate better access to market outlets, jobs and public services, business activity and economical attractiveness.

Very soon, another funds for road infrastructure investment in Eastern Poland will appear in POPW. The second form enrollment for the projects improving the attractiveness of Białystok, Kielce, Lublin, Rzeszów and surrounding communities areas will take place in October. Total budget of the contest is 800 mln pln.

XXIV International Defence Industry Exhibition - MSPO
On September 6, the International Defence Industry Exhibition (Międzynarodowy Salon Przemysłu Obronnego) under the patronage of Polish President Andrzej Duda will begin at Kielce Trade Fairs SA. It is the biggest trade event in Central and Eastern Europe; it is an extremely prestigious and economically important show for Poland, organized for 24 years.

MSPO competes in Europe only with the fairs in London and Paris. Between 6 - 9 September Kielce will be visited by representatives of over 500 companies operating in the defense industry home and abroad. This is an opportunity to showcase the latest technological solutions and military equipment and sign new contracts. This year, the visitors will see, among others, 8 helicopters built by Airbus, PZL Swidnik, Sikorsky PZL Mielec Company, TAI and Boeing.

A novelty at the fairs this year is the presence of people just starting a business. The initiative came from the City Hall of Kielce Urząd Miasta Kielce), which provides patronage to Świętokrzyskie start-ups, and from the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP), which supports young companies from all over the country. The Polish Information and Foreign Investment Agency (PAIiIZ) and the newly formed Office for Establishment of Territorial Defense, Ministry of Defence, will be present at the fairs as well.

New regulations on business trips and migrations
A conference about new regulations concerning employers in business trips will take place on 14 Sep 2016 at the National Stadium in Warsaw.

During the conference, panelists will narrate about the new duties assessed on employers sending their employees abroad and also, sending workers from abroad to work in Poland. During an event, tax, law, social security, transfer rates and imigration issues will be discussed. Event is organized by PAIiIZ and EY.

City Plus forum coming in September
Inteligent Cities and Modern Technologies forum will take place on 21-22 Sep 2016 in Toruń.

City Plus forum is an exceptional meeting of the government representatives, autonomies, business and media. The leading discussion will concern cities and communities biggest development challenges. Conference will take two days and is built of eleven blocks focusing particular challenges of autonomies such as integrity, society, management, opennes, security and ecology.

3rd SMEs Congress of The Visegrad Group countries
On 21 at 9:00 in Liptovsky Mikulas (Slovakia) 3rd SMEs Congress of The Visegrad Group countries will be arranged.

The Congress  is addressed to SMEs sector form Poland, Slovakia, The Czech Republic and Hungary that are interested in export via road and sea transport to Europe and overseas.

The second Asia Trade Know-How
The second Asia Trade Know-How will be held on 22nd - 24th  of  September 2016 at the Expo Mazury Trade Fair and Conference Centre in Ostróda, in Poland.

II edycja Asia Trade know - howAsia Trade Know-How is a trade & congress business event arranged to present new development opportunities for Polish enterprises in Asian countries.

Exhibitors will have the opportunity to participate in dedicated matchmaking meetings with owners of companies operating on Asian markets and to present their product offer to a wide group of prospective foreign business partners.

Among the participants of the show there are: producers and manufacturers, importers and exporters and trade agents from Asian markets.

Asia Trade will be also attended by representatives of embassies and chambers of commerce from India, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Afghanistan, Iran and the Philippines.

ICT companies mission to Japan
Registration to the mission has just started. It’s made for ICT firms interested in investing on the Japanese market.

Mission to Tokio, organized by JETRO - Japanese External Trade Organization will take place on 23-28 Oct 2016.

During their stay in Japan, participants -  ICT companies from CEE will have an occassion to participate in:  Japan IT Week fair, Japanese investment and it sectors seminars.

They will also go through a number of meetings in popular IT firms and will be introduced to the JETRO external investors services. On the mission, Polish entrepreneurs will also visit the JETRO business center (IBSC), Yokohama and will participate in the business dinner organized by Polish Embassy in Tokyo.

Deloitte Report: Polish companies dominated the biggest enterprises rankings!
Among the 500 biggest firms of CEE region, the highest number of 182 comes from Poland and it is 13 more comparing to the previous edition, as Deloitte states in the 10th edition of middle Europe’s top 18 companies analysis.

In 2015, in CEE the country with highest economical growth rate was Czech Republic. Ukraine had the lowest rate. Poland is placed in a lead.  The Deloitte report results, that in 2015 the revenue of all the 500 listed companies generated and income of 685 bln euro, which gives a 1,7 per cent growth comparing to last year (673 bln euro). Revenue that qualifies company to this year’s list of 500 region biggest companies is 437 mln euro, comparing to 459 mln euro in last year’s edition. Highest incomes were generated by energy and natural resources sectors (37%), industrial products (25%) and consumption goods (29%).

It is the 10th time Deloitte performs the biggest companies analysis in middle Europe’s 18 countries (500 companies, 50 banks, 50 insurrance companies) and in Ukraine. Companies from Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro and Moldavia were not qualified. Companies 2015 and Q1 2016 revenue have been analyzed, then provided in euro, converted from local currencies average rate.

Sener Poland will help in creating the marsian rover
Rover, that is expected to land on Mars with the ExoMars mission in 2021 will be equipped with a device manufactured by the Polish company.

SENER Poland will create a electromechanical connection between a rover and a lander. The device will feed the power supply after the landing procedure and during starting operation of a rover on Mars. When this process ends, system will be detached in a way allowing rover to go on mars surface.
