New record in the Poland Pavilion on EXPO in Shanghai

The Poland Pavilion welcomed its 5 millionth visitor! The Pavilion ranks among the most popular pavilions on EXPO.

“Almost four months of the World Exposition have passed and one thing is clear - whenever there is talk of the biggest European countries like Germany, France and the UK, Poland has been mentioned too. That is why the Pavilion attracts unexpected attention and is remarkably popular“ - claims the Commissioner General of the Polish Section on Expo Sławomir Majman.

Leung Wai Shan-the 5 millionth visitor to the Poland Pavilion on EXPO

On August 27th the Pavilion welcomed its 5 millionth visitor - Leung Wai Shan who is a 19-year-old resident of Hong Kong. “I am really honoured. I came here with my brother and my parents especially to visit EXPO. The Poland Pavilion has been so often shown in the media that we put it on the absolute must see shortlist which we had drawn up before coming here” – said Leung. The five millionth visitor to he Pavilion got a computer, a bunch of flowers and a diploma. The gifts were sponsored by the Major Strategic Partner of the Poland Pavilion - the largest Polish oil and gas exploration and production company PGNiG.

The Poland Pavilion is a tested brand. Every week the Pavilion organises numerous concerts, film screenings, exhibitions and seminars, all in the framework of the cultural and economic promotion of Poland on the World Exhibition. Celebrations of the five millionth visitor to the Pavilion were attended by a record high number of journalists. Over 50 Chinese media representatives turned up to personally witness, broadcast and report on the event.
