Thanks to tens of cultural and economic events the Poland Pavillion has been enjoying a good reputation among Chinese media, as well as EXPO visitors who visit the pavilion in large numbers. Also this time the Pavillion did not disappoint the visitors. On Saturday Natalia Partyka, Polish Ambassador to EXPO 2010 and one of the most talented table tennis players in Europe came with a vist to the Pavilion. Two years ago, participating both: in the 29th Olympic Games in Beijing and the Special Olympics where she was honoured with a gold medal, Natalia won the hearts of Chinese people.

"I am really astonish and impressed. I like the Pavillion very much. It presents, in an interesting and intelligible way, what kind of country we are, how we have been developing and what people we have. I strongly believe it will encourage Chinese people, as well as inhabitants of other countries to visit us", said Partyka, Polish Ambassador to EXPO 2010, during her stay at the World Exhibition in Shanghai.
In front of the Pavillion Natalia played a game against children and youths from the famous Shanghai sports school - Xuhui. Also some of the bravest viewers could try themselves against the Beijing table tennis gold-medalist. "I remember Natalia from Olympic broadcasts. I admire her for the courage and stamina she has. It is amazing that I have just had an occasion to meet her personally. It is the best Ambassador you could have" - said the 25-year old Wang, who has come to the Poland Pavillion to see the player.

Natalia Partyka beat her rivals in tennis. But it was also the weather that she had to struggle with in Shanghai- the temperature has exceeded 39 degrees. - It has been very hot and the humidity is very high. In turn, when ther was a light wind it made the ball completely unpredictable at times. Despite all this it was a lot of fun, added Natalia.
"Natalia Partyka challenges the stereotype that only Chinese can be the best table tennis players. I think that she could be an example for all of us of how to overcome obstacles in the pursuit of our goals. The Poland Pavillion motto at the Shanghai EXPO 2010 is: "Poland smiles". "Looking at our Ambassador, Natalia Partyka, no one had any doubts that Poland certainly is a land of smiling people, people of success" - said the host of the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner of the Polish Section at EXPO 2010, Bogdan Marczewski. "We have had many events promoting Polish culture and economy. Natalia Partyka as the Poland Pavillion Ambassador promotes not only achievements of our country but also sport, which unities people around the world" - added Commissioner Marczewski.
