Two million guests visited the Poland Pavilion on Expo 2010 in Shanghai02.07.2010More an more people come to visit the Polish exhibition on Expo in Shanghai. On July 1st the Pavilion hosted a 21-year-old Xu Xiao Dan who was the two million guest of the Pavilion.Xu Xiao Dan comes from Changzho which is situated in the Jiangsu province. She came to Shanghai for one day with the plan to visit the World Exhibition. The ceremony during which Ms Xu Xiao Dan was greeted as the two million guest of the Pavilion was proceeded by a collective countdown run by the hosts of the Pavilion and the Expo official mascot - Haibao. The ceremony was led by the Commissioner General of the Polish Section on Expo Mr Sławomir Majman.
- We did not expect the Pavilion to attract so much attention. The amount of visitors who came to see the Poland Pavilion comes as a surprise, given the turnout forecasts made several months ago. As of today the Pavilion was visited by over 2 million people. It is worth stressing that the number of visitors who opted for the Poland pavilion constitute 11% of the total amount of people who visited Expo. This means that one in ten Chinese visitors on Expo comes to our Pavilion. We are very proud of the fact - said the Commissioner General during the ceremony. Sławomir Majman added that Expo is a great chance to promote the Polish economy in China and added that the Pavilion has been visited by 50 000 people every day. - As for the people from the business world that we want to attract - Chinese entrepreneurs, representatives of media and politics - so far we have hosted more than 160 official delegations and organised business meetings attended by more than 1,000 Chinese entrepreneurs - informed the Commissioner General of the Polish Section of EXPO 2010.

The 2- million visitor - Xiao Dan Xu - received flowers, a special diploma and a computer. Awards were financed by one of the sponsors of the Poland Pavilion - Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S. A. Xiao Dan Xu came to Shanghai with her mum and both spent almost an hour in the queue to the Poland Pavilion. - The Pavilion looks very interesting also from the outside. Already in the morning there was a long queue to the Pavilion what made us even more interested in the inside exposition. - said Xu Xiao Dan after the ceremony.
The ceremony attracted numerous representatives of Chinese media - Over 30 journalists, including 5 teams from nationwide and regional TV stations like CCTV and ICS.
Due to the growing interests in the Exhibition organisers estimate that by the end of the event, Expo will have been visited by at least 6 million people. (PAIiIZ)
