Woodward opens a new production facility near Kraków

On May 6th, 2010 Woodward Governor Company officially informed that it will open a new production facility within Special Economic Zone in Niepołomice near Kraków.

Woodward has been present in Kraków since 2005. At the end of 2008 the company was granted a permission to construct a new factory. The new facility, comprised of office space, engineers' laboratories and production space measuring in total 6, 500 sq m, started to be constructed in April 2009.  At the moment the factory gives employment to over 110 people and has considerable development potential.

- Our new plant near Kraków is a project which will improve the company’s competitiveness on world markets, mainly thanks to the talent and energy of the employees who work in the factory - said Tom Gendron, Woodward’s president and director general who took part in the official opening of the factory.

Woodward is a designer, producer and supplier of energy control and optimisation services geared towards aerospace industry and aeronautics and space navigation, the defence industry, electric energy producers and distributors and the transportation sector. (Woodward)
